Job Description

Quality Control Manager: 80k-100K | minimum 5 years experience

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

*Supervise, assist, and direct the work of all Quality Control staff.

*Check the accuracy of paperwork and records for all vehicles.

*Visually and manually inspect and test vehicles before, during, and after the manufacturing process.

*Complete inspections within the shop area, parking area, on the road, and in the quality control department to ensure road readiness.

*Test vehicles to ensure they are properly manufactured in accordance with Work Order specifications.

*Inspect, accept, or reject, both internally and vendor-purchased, products as necessary.

*Partner with the Production Manager and/or Crew Chief to achieve efficient repair.

*Complete all documentation including inspection sheets, certificates, and receipts applying signatures as appropriate.

*Identify abnormalities and provide repair orders as needed to the appropriate departments.

*Identify areas of process improvement, cost, and waste reduction.

*Road test all vehicles.

*Recommend new processes and manufacturing procedures to improve efficiency and Quality.

*Undertake relevant training and development as required.

*Carry out work orders within a realistic timeline ensuring that deadlines are met.

*Maintain cooperative working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population.

*Develop Quality Control policies.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

*Perform minor product repairs.

*Record critical dimensions of each vehicle.

*Measure fluid levels, check lubricant, inspect workmanship, and/or gauge product quality.

*Perform miscellaneous duties such as washing, cleaning, and minor paint touch-ups.

*Adhere to and carry out existing Lenco Industries work practices, procedures, and policies.

*Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:

*All Quality Control staff

EXPERIENCE:

*Three (3) to five (5) years of Quality related activity in a manufacturing environment

*ISO 9000

*Six Sigma

*Lean Manufacturing

EDUCATION:

*High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

*Degree in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering preferred

CERTIFICATIONS:

*Valid Driver License

*Meticulous attention to detail

*Ability to follow directions

*Meet deadlines

*Trouble shooting skills

*Basic math skills required (add, subtract, divide and multiply)

*Reading abilities required (including blueprints)

*Basic computer skills

*Automotive experience preferred

*Some welding skills preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

*Must be able to pass physical exam

*Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.

*Ability to exert maximum force to pull, and carry objects

*Must be able to climb into, onto and under vehicle

*Extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, squatting and kneeling

*Vision a minimum 20/40 with or without corrective lenses

*Good hearing
